Work in Progress

Robin has set up this page to avoid duplication of work.
Jose Ramos has done all the hard work, including re-recording WAV files, correction of TRANSLAT.TXT and other files. His daughter Raquel has provided the drivers voice in the demonstration.

Minor changes to GPSS.EXE will be needed to make GPSS speak Portuguese with the correct syntax. But some of you may wish to start testing this new language now.

Most of the important sounds are in PORTTRAN.EXE, but you will also need to download PORTTRA2.EXE for a few sounds to complete the Ascot demonstration, and for place names in Portugal.

On 16 Dec, TRANSLAT.TXT and GOTGPS.WAV were corrected.

For mapping of Portugal, you must visit the European Download Page

Translation Downloads

PORTTRAN.EXE and PORTRA2.EXE should be downloaded into c:\Portugue and run to self-extract into the Portuguese files. Copy LANGUAGE.CFG to c:\gpss04 if you want GPSS to start up in Portuguese speech.
